In case you missed it…. over the weekend Ashley Foster of Rolling Acres in Brookeville won the North American Adult Amateur Equitation Championship at the Capital Challenge Horse Show in Upper Marlboro. Foster rode Carlsberg to a final score of 172.66, just one point ahead of Caroline Ingalls of California.
At the conclusion of the two rounds of competition, Foster and Ingalls were asked to come back for one final testing. The judging panel of Linda Andrisani, Chance Arakelian, Brian Lenehan, Bobbie Reber, Danny Robertshaw and Steve Wall ultimately awarded Foster the win. “It was extremely nerve-wracking!” said the 21-year-old Auburn University student who trains with her mother Patty Foster.
