There have been rumors circulating about another horse, or multiple horses, or possibly a cow, in the Howard County area being shot early this morning (November 3). At this time, The Equiery has not been able to verify any of these claims and the Howard County Police Department has not received any reports other than that of Connie Hutz on October 31.

Howard County Police Department public affairs officer Elizabeth Schroen did tell The Equiery that a cow was hit by a car on Roxbury Road late last night and was removed from the road early this morning. She is also aware of the rumors about a second shooting and has asked that any owners of any injured animals from possible gunshot wounds to please file an official report with the police department.

The investigation over the shooting death of Connie Hutz’s Quarter Horse gelding Triple is still an ongoing investigation. The police department is offering a $300 reward for any information that results in an arrest in this case. Tips can be issued anonymously to 410-313-STOP (7867), which is the Howard County Police Department tip hotline.

The Equiery will continue to post information here as it becomes available.
