On March 31, The Maryland Jockey Club (TMJC) announced a new weekend of racing at Fair Hill, to be called the Fair Hill Turf Showcase. The meet is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25, 2026, at the Fair Hill Special Event Zone in Cecil County.

The races on Sunday will include seven to eight flat races and the races on Monday will be steeplechase races run in coordination with the National Steeplechase Association.

TMJC’s press release quotes Cecil County Delegate Kevin Hornberger:

“Racing makes a triumphant return to Cecil County. Nicknamed America’s Aintree, The Races at Fair Hill will serve as the gold standard for flat and jump racing, worldwide. We invite you to join us for this momentous occasion.”

Bettors this year will be able to place parimutuel wagers onsite and also nationwide through ADW wagering accounts under the “Laurel at Fair Hill” name.
