The Equine Disease Communications Center (EDCC) reports that a 21-year old Thoroughbred mare at a boarding facility at Anne Arundel County has a confirmed case of strangles.
EDCC also reports that a lesson and trail riding horse at a facility in Montgomery County has a confirmed case of strangles.
Both facilities are under quarantine.
