The Equine Disease Communication Center reports today that yet another horse has been confirmed with strangles in Montgomery County.
The horse is a 24-year old Thoroughbred gelding at a boarding facility, who is used for pleasure riding. He has been isolated and the other horses on the property are quarantined.
The brings the total number of confirmed strangles cases in Maryland this summer to 18.
