Monday’s Pace: Layton Hanover Stands Firm
In Monday’s $12,000 Open Pace, the even-money favorite Layton Hanover proved resolute and put up his third win of the year. Driven by Roger Plante Jr., the 7-year-old gelding brushed to the lead with a circuit to go, rated easy middle fractions, and parried a sustained first-over challenge from Sheer Terror to post a 1:53.1 victory for trainer William Andrews.

🕊️ A Community Tribute: Callahan Goes Out a Winner
The harness racing community is a close-knit family, providing steadfast support and solidarity to its members during the most challenging times.

It was in that spirit that the Rosecroft horsepeople gathered trackside on Thursday for a poignant moment of silence in memory of trainer Shaun Callahan, who unexpectedly passed away on April 6 at the age of 44. Later in the card, Touch Of White and driver Frank Milby delivered a resolute 1:57.1 victory in a $5,500 conditioned trot, giving Shaun his 416th and final career training win.

In a touching tribute, Touch Of White was warmed up before the race by Shaun’s father, Nicholas, who took to the track wearing his son’s colors.
