LETTER TO THE EDITOR
September 2009

I had the pleasure recently of attending the PVDA Dancing Horse Challenge held on June 27 in Upper Marlboro.

This wonderful evening of dressage freestyle and equestrian entertainment was organized to benefit the John Hopkins Breast Center. We at Dover Saddlery were delighted to sponsor an event with such a worthwhile cause.

The objective of this event is to raise as much money as possible for breast cancer research. In order to achieve this goal, I believe the Dancing Horse Challenge should aim to appeal to horse people and non-horse people alike. I would suggest that the entertainment angle be further emphasized in the future so that the beauty and grace of the horses and riders can be enjoyed by the trained and non-trained eye. Dover would like to see many more non-horse people encouraged to discover the beauty of watching horses dance to music!

Dover Saddlery wishes this event all the best and looks forward to being a sponsor next year.
