The Maryland Department of Agriculture has announced a significant expansion of animal health diagnostic services including the addition of a Veterinary Anatomic Pathologist at the Salisbury Animal Health Laboratory. The new pathologist will provide necropsy services for poultry, livestock and equine cases.

Previously, the only state lab in Maryland performing equine necropsies was in Frederick, MD.

The much needed expansion of diagnostic and necropsy services will boost disease surveillance and biosecurity on the Eastern Shore.
