After a supremely successful 2024 competition, the Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) leadership is hard at work planning the 2025 competition. As part of that preparation, it recently selected this year’s 2025 WIHS Youth Ambassadors, who are the teens who will lead subcommittees within the WIHS Junior Committee. The three subcommittees are Community Support & Sales, Event Operations & Engagement, and Marketing & Communications.

Learn more about each Youth Ambassador below. And congratulations all!

Juliana Langlois — WIHS Community Support & Sales Subcommittee Leader

I’m going into my senior year at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, MD. I’m a captain of my school’s IEA team and have been riding for eight years. I’m excited to help bring new groups of people to WIHS through outreach. My favorite night of WIHS is Barn Night. I want to study biology and animal sciences in college. Outside of horses, I like reading, traveling, and watching Formula 1! I own an 11-year-old Oldenburg mare named Frostiron, and her barn name is Frosti.

Mia Cook — WIHS Event Operations & Engagement Subcommittee Leader

“This will be my second year on the Junior Committee and I am hoping to make it a great year! I am a rising senior at Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, MD. I have been riding for the majority of my life and I am interested in pursuing a career in the equine industry. I currently ride and show with Kevin Bruce at CB Farm with my horse Regalia, better known as Reba. I am very excited to be participating in and learning about the behind the scenes events that go into the operation of WIHS!  My favorite part about WIHS is Barn Night and I am thrilled to be able to be a leading part of it for this year!”

Mira Cooper — WIHS Marketing & Communications Subcommittee Leader

I am going into my senior year at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, MD. I have been riding for almost 12 years and have shown IEA for the past three. This is my third year on the WIHS JC, and I am super excited to help lead the Marketing and Communications subcommittee! I intend to major in marketing in college. I love traveling, meeting new people, baking, and photography. I own a pony named Spill the Beans with the barn name Beans, and I lease a horse named FRF Pale Ale with the barn name Gunner.
