At this year’s Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event, the leaderboard jumped around after each phase with England’s Oliver Townend taking home the win aboard Cooley Master Class. After jumping double clean on cross-country, the pair moved up to third heading into the final show jump round while previous winners Michael Jung and Fischerrocana FST took over the lead from Frederick’s Marilyn Little. Jung added only 0.4 time faults to his dressage score while Little and RF Scandalous ended up with 8 time faults, dropping into sixth.

Little jumped double clean in show jumping to move up to third place. Townend also put in a double clear round putting the pressure on Christopher Burton, who was in second, and Jung in first. Burton and Nobilis 18 dropped two rails to move down to ninth. Jung had one rail down and finished the competition in second place moving Townend up for the win.

Marylander Savannah Fulton had a fast and clean cross-country go with Captain Jack moving up to 24th after cross-country. They had 12 jump and 4 time, finishing the event in 23rd place. Colleen Rutledge and Covert Rights had two stops on cross-county with 22 time faults. Colleen elected to withdraw CR fro the competition.
