Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources’s Office of Outdoor Recreation (DNR-OOR) has created an on-line directory “to connect guides, outfitters, retailers, manufacturers, rental providers, and other members of the outdoor industry with the public, and with each other.”
The directory includes outdoor infrastructure (like arenas or schooling areas), “gear and equipment” retailers (such as tack shops), conservation and/or education organizations (such as rescues, sanctuaries or trail conservation associations), media outlets (such as The Equiery!), artists (such as photographers), and any similar equine- or equine-adjacent small business.
