The Equiery learned today, December 28, that Jeff Newman, the CEO of the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, is no longer with the Sport and Entertainment Corporation of Maryland. Newman’s email has an auto-response saying “Please note that I am no longer with the Sport and Entertainment Corporation of Maryland.” The Maryland 5 Star website was down earlier this morning. It has since gone back up, but without any leadership information on the About Us page.
In addition, sources say that Terry Hasseltine has left the Maryland Sports Commission. He no longer appears on the Maryland Sports Commission website
