The Equine Disease Communication Center today reported one more confirmed case of strangles in Montgomery County.
The case is a 10-year-old gelding used for pleasure riding at a private facility, which facility already had one case confirmed on August 29. The first case was a12-year-old pony mare.
The number of confirmed stangles cases in Maryland is now 17.
