This past April, the Maryland General Assembly adjourned its 439th session. One of the core missions of the Maryland Horse Council is to represent the interests of the equestrian community to the legislators. Throughout the 2019 legislative session, the Maryland Horse Council followed various bills, dug into grassroots lobbying and, when finances allowed, retained the assistance of a lobbyist to help lawmakers understand the needs and position of the Maryland equestrian community.
