UPDATE From the Maryland Horse Breeders Association: The venue for the gathering after Allen Murray’s funeral on Monday, August 19, has been changed to: Vandiver Inn, 301 South Union Ave, Havre de Grace.
We are saddened at the loss of longtime MHBA member E. Allen Murray, who passed away unexpectedly on the morning of August 13. He was 80 years old.
Proprietor with his wife Audrey of Murmur Farm and Berkley Farm Training Center in Darlington, Mr. Murray had just retired from the MHBA Board of Directors after serving his 18th year. He served as Vice-President, 1998-1999, 2000-2002, and as Secretary-Treasurer, 1997. He was currently serving on the board for Maryland Million Ltd.
A viewing will be at Zellman Funeral Home, 123 Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Md 21078 on Sunday, August 18th, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Zellman Funeral Home on Monday, August 19th, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Angel Hill Cemetery in Havre de Grace.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maryland Horsemen’s Assistance Fund, 500 Redland Court, Suite 105, Owings Mills, MD 21117 or the American Heart Association-Maryland. A gathering after the service and funeral will be held at St. Patrick’s Hall in Havre de Grace.
