The Big Easy’s winning Barn Night Poster!
The 2019 Washington International Horse Show Barn Night is in the books with Maryland barns taking home tons of swag! The staff at WIHS bumped up the volume this year with tons of interactive Barn Night activities such as Trick or Treating on the Concourse, photo opt stations and the Barn Night favorites of autograph sessions and all the big Barn Night Awards.
Wheaton Park Stables won the Largest Maryland Group award while Meadowbrook Stables took home the Largest Overall Group prize.
Best Video went to Garrison Forrest School and the Best Poster award went to The Big Easy.
Potomac Horse Center showed their barn pride in style winning the Best Spirit Award.
Thursday evening at WIHS is also the annual Buck Breast Cancer fundraiser with the Laura Pickett Memorial Trophy given out. In honor of local trainer Laura Pickett, the award is given out to a young rider that shows sportsmanship and class. This year’s winner was Kaitlyn Harvey Nicely.
