Maryland’s own Marilyn Little rode RF Scandalous on Friday afternoon to top the dressage phase at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event, currently the country’s only CCI 4* event. The pair scored an impressive 24.8, besting previous winners Michael Jung of Germany and Fischerrocana FST, who scored a 27.1. It is rumored that Little’s score is a Kentucky 3Day record!

During the afternoon press conference, Little said of her mount, “I was excited to go on Friday afternoon and knew she could handle it well. She was very businesslike, and it was a great ride. She was looking to please and she did her job.” Little and “Kitty” won double golds at the Pan American Games in 2015 as part of Team USA.
Colleen Rutledge and Covert Rights also put in a stellar performance Friday afternoon to make it into the top 10 with a 31.7. Fellow Marylander Savannah Fulton was one of the earlier rides on Thursday and scored a 45.3 with Captain Jack to sit in 44th place.
The Equiery wishes good luck to our Maryland eventers and all entered as they tackle the cross-country course on Saturday. Stay tuned for update and check out The Equiery’s social media pages for more photos!
