On Saturday, June 28, Maryland-bred Trotter Call Me Goo achieved millionaire status with her win in the $114,500 Six Pack Mare Trot at the Meadowlands. The mare is a Maryland horse in every respect — Maryland-sired (GooGoo GaaGaa) and bred in Maryland (Brandywine) by a Maryland resident (William Roberts). Her life-time earnings are now $1,041,588.

Call Me Goo’s trainer Ake Svanstedt said after the race: “She’s a tough mare and very good [on the front].” He said he was confident even when her rival Dial Square S took over the lead. “It was good because she always tries and gets the lead back. And she can go with the colts, and she will.”

Congratulations to all of Call Me Goo’s connections!
