Joe Bowersox of North East and Minotaure du Passoir have made the — USEF Emerging Athlete Eventing 18 Program list.

The U.S. Equestrian Federation Eventing High Performance Committee approved 15 young riders to participate in its Emerging Athlete Eventing 18 Program for 2018 as well as an additional five young riders as auditors. Making the lists from Maryland are Joe Bowersox of North East and Ryan Keefe of Sandy Spring. Bowersox made the participation list while Keefe is on the auditing list.

Bowersox has been riding Minotaure du Passoir at Training and Preliminary this year with wins at MCTA and Fair Hill in May. The pair finished 16th at the Plantation Field International CIC1* in September.

Keefe has been competing three horses from Novice through Preliminary is 2017. With Eighttofasttocatch, Keefe won at Morven Park in April and Waredaca in June before placing 24th in Junior Training at the American Eventing Championships in September. Keefe and Eighttofasttocatch finished fourth at Training level at the Area II Championships, held at the Virginia Horse Trials in October. Keefe and Hoodwink took home blue ribbons from Millbrook at Training and GMHA at Preliminary in August. Most recently, the pair finished sixth in the CCI1* at the Virginia Horse Trials in October. She won the Virginia CCI1* with Flintstar, who she also placed fourth with in Junior Preliminary at the AECs. With Flintstar, Keefe also won at Morven Park in September.
