UPDATE 10/17/12

The autopsy reports have come back. According to the Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office, Sarah’s murderer killed her  with a gunshot to her neck. No arrests have been made. (Fauquier Now)

Sarah’s mother, Poolesville resident Sara Lee Greenhalgh, was interviewed by WJLA TV Channel 7 on October 10, 2012.

ORIGINAL STORY: On Tuesday, July 10, 2012, authorities officially declared the death of Sarah Libbey Greenhalgh a homicide. Sarah’s body was discovered inside her burning Upperville home on Monday, July 9. Sarah, a former Maryland resident, was a long time contributor to The Equiery. Memorial Service

A memorial service and reception will be held Friday, July 20 at noon at Trinity Episcopal Church, 9108 John Mosby Highway, in Upperville, VA 20815. In lieu of flowers, the family is encouraging tax-deductible donations be made in memory of Sarah to either her alma mater, Oldfields, or to the National Steeplechase Foundation.
