On April 1, we posted a special contest on The Equiery’s Facebook page to give away four free quarter page ads with an eblast and social media post. The Equiery and the Maryland Horse Council want to do what we can to help our community weather these tough times with advertising that can be used to promote and sustain these businesses.

To win one of these 4 opportunities, Facebook friends had to like & follow The Equiery Facebook page and tell us in the comments how they would use this marketing campaign to promote their business.

The Equiery wants to thank all who participated! We loved all the answers and enthusiasm! The four lucky winners are Brave HEART Program, Highridge Farm-llc, Julia Creighton, and Wendy Hutchins!! Congratulations! Tracy will be in touch to get your marketing campaigns set up and ready to go!

If you are not one of our winners today, we are offering 15% off all display ads, $10 off all photo classifieds and $5 off all text classifieds for the May issue. Get in touch and we can come up with a plan that works within your budget!

Below are the stories from each winning business/organization. We look forward to seeing your ads in the May Equiery and online!

Brave HEART Program Wonderful idea and contest! We would use the ad to promote our program and the next Mounted Police & Military Veteran Horse Show.
Highridge Farm-llc Than you for this great opportunity! High Ridge Farm LLC would be honored to win a spot in The Equiery! Our farm would love the chance to advertise about our diverse lesson program, horse show seasons, immense love for the 4H program. Our farm takes great pride in sharing the love of horses with both children and adults alike. We would love the chance to help grow our business during these trying times.
Julia Creighton j.b.creighton has only been in business for 6 months and we were just hitting our stride when the virus hit. This has been a real blow. We don’t want folks to forget about us and hope to reopen strong but customers can also shop us online during this period and we would really like to advertise that.
Wendy Hutchins I started my business in September. I make custom beaded browbands. The cornerstone of my business has been browband parties where customers would design their dream beaded browband for their horse. With the social distancing restrictions in place because of the coronavirus pandemic, gatherings are not possible. I would like to continue to move forward with promoting my business by expanding into an online presence. I think an ad would be a positive step in that direction.
